KILL BILL's soundtracks features great songs and themes from movies, like "Bang Bang" by Nancy Sinatra, "The Grand Duel" by Luis Bacalov (From a spaghetti Western), and the themes from "Twisted Nerve" by Bernard Herrmann (eerily effective in the film), "The Green Hornet" by Al Hirt, "Ironside" by Quincy Jones and "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" (a Japanese Yakuza classic) by Tomoysu Hotei

I do not have so many soundtracks but I have these ones: "Philadelphia", "Titanic", "Terminator 2", "Das Boot", "Reality Bites". I especially like "Philadelphia", good songs. But I also have some compact discs with only "Western Themes" (for example with "the man with the harmonica" and "the good, the bad and the ugly", "Highnoon" and so on) and "Science Fiction Themes" ("Star Wars", "Dune", "Blade Runner", "Alien", "2001" and so on). Very good, very good. And some great movies, like "the man with the harmonica" and "High- noon", I am not a Western fan but I like these Westerns very much, great movies. ;D

Well what about you Charles and Rusty? You don't have favourites? Hard to believe. =========== Lia, I have 13 soundtracks of Winona's movies on CD. I am always checking websites and stores for the others, but no luck so far. Plus I have over six hundred soundtracks from other movies. I have them on phonograph records and I have dubbed them onto cassette tapes over the last couple of years. ---------- Rusty

So much of mine favourite soundtracks are mentioned in this thread,I'm happy to ascertain this. I'm very varied when I list music(also I've got a preference for rock and blues)and often I find me to list movie soundtrack. In addition at the pieces mentioned above(love Moroder for "Midnight Express",Oldfield for "Exorcist",Goodbye Horses,Koyaanisquatsi,Badalamenti for "Twin Peaks",Kilar for "Dracula")in general i find always remarkable the soundtracks of Kubrick's movies:"Barry Lyndon" with Schubert's pieces and Sarabande that is an adaptation of La Folia of Arcangelo Corelli,"Eyes Wide Shut" but also Love Theme of "Spartacus"(try to list piano version of Bill Evans),"Full Metal Jacket" too. I like electronic sound of Carpenter's movies too,"1997" and "Hallowen" 1 and 3. Simon Boswell composed an hipnotic and wonderful piece call "Walley"for "Phenomena" of D.Argento(probably in USA is know like "Creepers",is the movie with gorgeus young J. Connelly)and purpouse Argento, list the soundtrack of "Suspiria" by Goblin(the only decent movie of Dario Argento ). Cat People's soundtrack of Moroder is special too for me and how not to forget the union between Ryuichi Sakamoto and Bernardo Bertolucci with the soundtracks of "Tea in Desert"(in USA "Sheltering Sky"?);"Last Emperor" with David Byrne too but also "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence". Of course if I must to choice only one composer for cinema I choose Ennio Morricone,a part all the western's soundtracks him opera is immense and mine favourite of all time is the soundtrack of "orca"because this film is one of mine first film I saw at cinema in far 77(I was 4 years old)and this sad theme remained in mine head and heart forever. The union between images and sounds definitely makes cinema must beautiful form of art, think at one of Winona's favourite film(Hanging Rock),it have not a great story to tell, does not reveal about the mistery,it's only a pleasure for eyes and ears togheter. Think at bidimensional movie of De Palma"Phantom of Paradise",this film makes the idea well. Long life at the music, first form of art that marries so good with the images in the must wonderfull form of art:CINEMA. P.S.like alwais sorry for any errors.
