I only picked four, because one of my faves didn't make it...the remake of THE PRODUCERS...okay, Mel didn't MAKE that one, but he was the linchpin behind it...no one liked it but me...Lane and Broderick were funny, and I thought the new ending was BETTER then the original. And I cannot resist Uma Thurman in a prison uniform...it will be time to pull out YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN in time for Halloween soon...saw it on the big screen along with BLAZING SADDLES. Also check out SILENT MOVIE...very neglected and very funny...

Son-of-a-gun! ------ I did not know . Mel Brooks produced the movie, his screenplay, and music and lyrics. ----- If I had known all of that I would included the remake in the poll. ----- I'm watching it right now to appreciate it. ----- Rusty

Parodies and remakes. But I still love 'Blazing Saddles', 'Young Frankenstein', and the first 'The Producers'. His only Oscar is for Best Original Screenplay for 'The Producers', which I've learned recently is very similar to the film 'New Faces Of 1937'. Has anyone seen that one?
