Last Thursday I was shopping at Barnes and Noble bookstore and saw this book "Steven Spielberg Retrospective" by Richard Schickel. The book had two good chapters about Spielberg. But what was really enjoyable, the book had all of his movies listed, with great pictures from the films and interesting facts. ----- The book came out last year at $35 and one year later it is on the bargain rack for just $9.98 which made buying the book even more of a pleasure. ----- Vote for your five favorite Spielberg motion pictures. ----- Rusty

----- Yes a great poll about a great director and some very outstanding movies. ----- I just finished watching "Duel' for just the 69th time, after I made the poll. "Duel" is now my 7th most watched movie. ----- I love how David Mann (Dennis Weaver) just keeps driving as fast as he can from the tanker truck. If I were him I'd ditch the car and run up a hill until I could flag down someone who would call the police. ----- But that is what makes "Duel" so great. A what-would-you-do type of movie. ----- ----- Rusty

But I've only watched 'Duel' twice, Rusty.

Duel Close Encounters of the Third Kind Raiders of the Lost Ark E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Saving Private Ryan
But I've only watched 'Duel' twice, Rusty. ----- Except for E.T. you and I voted for the same four Spielberg films. ----- I've loved "Duel" ever since it was an ABC movie of the week back in 1971. I even found an old April 1971 issue of Playboy a few years ago, with the original story. I never tire of watching the movie. ----------- And as for "Saving Private Ryan" that movie was as special to see in a movie theater as "Girl Interrupted" was. ----- I spent a small fortune seeing both movies during their theatrical releases. ----- ----- Rusty

----- I've loved "Duel" ever since it was an ABC movie of the week back in 1971. The same year he directed a great Columbo episode, "Murder By The Book", starring Jack Cassidy and Martin Milner.
